When the mind has a defined target, it can focus and redirect until it reaches its intended goal. If it doesn’t have a defined target, its energy is squandered.

As an example, instead of thinking of yourself as a salesperson, how about labeling yourself a “treasure hunter†looking for the home that will change people’s lives.
Think of great people or fictional characters and bring that emotion to your daily activities. For the sports fans out there, be “Rocky†and fight through your challenges like he would. There are thousands of identities you can attach yourself with.

Go to a quiet place in your home and sit for five minutes alone with your eyes closed imagining that you are 103 yrs old, looking back on your life.
Who do you see in it? What children are there, what grandchildren and great grandchildren do you see? How did your life turn out? Where is your current home? Did you make a difference in people’s lives? Did you get what you wanted out of life?
Go to the end of your life for five minutes, feel it, internalize it.
You’ll open your eyes with a new perspective.
